Dr. A. Al-Kassem is a Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgeon, certified by Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Al-Kassem earned his General Surgery fellowship at the University of Ottawa and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Al-Kassem has a special interest in the minimally invasive Gastric Sleeve, including the 2 incisions surgery. He is qualified to perform all weight loss procedures, including Gastric Balloon, Gastric Band, Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass and Duodenal Switch. All done laparoscopically!
Dr. Al-Kassem has been well recognized as well by the local community, many international medical societies and several governments for his volunteer work to help people in third world countries and in war zones.
Dr. Shrayyef is an Endocrinologist, certified by the American Board and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with a special interest in helping patients with Obesity. He is a Diabetes Specialist and is also accredited by the American College of Endocrinology as a Neck Sonologist. Dr. Shrayyef is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Toronto.
